Meet the band
In this section, you get to meet the guys behind this incredible show. They all like to do meet and greets after a show so now you'll be able to put a name to a face when you see us on the road.
Iggy (Paul) as Liam Gallagher.
Iggy has been around in the "tribute world" for over 25 years and is a very well known face on the circuit.
An accomplished guitarist who has played from the age of 10 years old, he also fronts the UK's leading Stereophonics tribute band, Stereotonics.
In addition, Iggy has dipped his toe into the celebrity world in his time and has played guitar for Chesney Hawkes and also done the odd shows with Nik Kershaw, Jason Donovan, Rick Parfitt Jnr and a few others.
Iggy is the founding member of Oasish and is well known as being the best Liam Gallagher impersonator in the country. His voice and mannerisms have left many thinking they are watching the real thing!
He loves his job and is driven by getting perfection in anything and everything he does so expect nothing less than a biblical performance should you ever go to watch either Oasish or the As We Were production.

Phil as Noel Gallagher.
Phil has played with Iggy in Oasish since around 2012 and before that had his own Noel Gallagher tribute band called The Masterplan.
Like Iggy, Phil is now a well known face on the tribute scene and is probably best known for his love of vintage guitars and amps.
One of his guitars was once loaned to the real Noel Gallagher when Noel was recording at Abbey Road and its said that Noel wanted to buy the guitar at the time but the previous owner wasn't selling it at that point.
Along with his love of anything vintage, he also loves his effects pedals and uses Pete Cornish effects and an old Echodrive which are the exact same pedals that Noel uses.
Phil's mission in life is to accomplish recapturing that classic Noel Gallagher tone in his playing - something that is often overlooked by many guitarists these days.

Ben on lead/rhythm guitar
Based in Croydon, Ben is an incredible guitarist. He studied music at the ACM in Guildford, Surrey and passed with a higher diploma and degree in music.
He works for The Realistic Music Academy as a guitar tutor and band coach. This involves performance and songwriting.
Ben first played with Oasish in 2012 and has done many gigs with us on the road over the years.
He took a hiatus from the band around lockdown and Covid but then returned in 2023 to perform with the guys again.
Because of his wealth of knowledge and ability to play many different genres of music, Ben fits in perfectly with the As We Were show.
He loves being on the road and is pleasure to have around.

Pabs on lead/rhythm guitar
Paul ‘Pabs’ Farrow has been playing guitar in Oasish (and Stereotonics) since 2021.
Prior to joining the band, he’s played with a wide range of bands, starting off his professional career during the golden age of Manchester music in 1997 with his band The Panic Merchants, while he was studying at university. They released a debut album and toured across the UK, including playing home town gigs at legendary Manchester venues including The Ritz, The Night and Day Cafe, The Boardwalk and Manchester Academy, and supporting the actual Stereophonics on a UK tour.
Since then, Pabs has worked as a session guitarist, guitar teacher and sound engineer, and can occasionally be seen doing his best David Gilmour impression in the tribute to Pink Floyd, Atom Heart Floyd.
He’s worked with a range of acts over the years, sharing the stage and studio with a diverse selection of musicians, from Boy George to Busta Rhymes.

Jake on bass guitar
Jake is one of the newest members of Oasish, joining us at the end of 2023.
Although he's from Birmingham originally, he now lives in Leeds.
Being a graduate of Leeds Conservatoire, which is a music college, Jake has worked as a freelance bass player for the last decade so when he was asked to join Oasish as a full time bass player, a band that he could simply play the same songs with every week, and with the same lads, he jumped at the chance!
In his time on the road, Jake has played up and down the country with some award winning ensembles. He's also performed at Leeds and Reading Festival, The Royal Shakespeare Company and had a number of European tours with artists such as Chantel McGregor and Paradox Orchestra.

Phil J on drums
Phil is the brand new drummer for Oasish and As We Were!
He started out his musical journey at the tender age of 12 years old when he had his very first drum lesson. After that, he continued his lessons every week until he left school.
By this time, he was already at a very competent level so when he started playing in local covers bands he was already a better musician than some of the older guys in the bands he was playing with!
This lead him on to focusing on original music and whilst his band created a huge buzz locally to him in Old Windsor, they didn’t quite make it over the line and secure that elusive recording contract.
Since then, Phil played in several local covers bands up until the pandemic.
Subsequently, Phil now spends his time teaching kids and adults how to play and has his own YouTube channel where he films and records himself performing some of his favourite songs and uploading them.
For a sneak preview, and to see how good
he really is, his channel can be
